Who We Are & What We Do

The James Graham Brown Cancer Center is a key component of the University of Louisville’s Health Sciences Center located in the heart of the Louisville, Kentucky. As an academic medical center, our atmosphere encourages collaboration between our oncology physicians and our cancer researchers. Treatment plans for our patients are fueled by our commitment to translational research. With the Cancer Center’s emphasis on bringing the benefits of the latest research from the lab to the bedside as efficiently as possible, patients at the center are often among the first in the world to have access to new therapies through leading-edge clinical trials. Our patients also benefit from a team concept of patient care. The multidisciplinary teams are made up of specialized physicians, nurses and other care providers. Each patient is treated according to a unique plan customized for the specific type of cancer, its stage, the patient’s lifestyle needs and overall health.
